Generation 4 -- Embarressement
Hey everyone. I've decided to do something different in this update. I'm going to let Amos (the current heir) take over and give you an update instead. I'll put gameplay notes at the end...
It had been sad for everyone in the family to see that Uncle Darren was getting of old age and was still not married. This is what he had always wanted. That's why the whole family was happy when he fell in love with our repairwoman, Arcadia.
The marraige ceremony and reception were a great time! Everyone clapped loudly when they kissed each other after exchanging the vows...
The reception was mainly a family thing. Uncle Darren's life long friend, Ivy, was there and so was Esther's boyfriend, Leo. I was still a kid at the time but I remember everything clearly. There were alot of toasts all around! I was getting so sick of them, and because I was a kid, I couldn't understand why the adults wouldn't let me have a drink for the toast as well?!
The day after the wedding was my 13th birthday. It was very casual. But I was so excited that I was finally a teenager and not a little kid any more.
Now I'm 16 and Dad keeps telling me how I have to carry on the bloodlines and get married and have kids one day because I focus more on family. I asked him why my older sister, Esther, couldn't do this. And Dad said that she sleeps around too much to settle down and that her brain is filled with romantic things... I didn't particulary want to know that but I was glad that Dad trusts me. My mum, Maura, keeps telling me I look alot like my dad, Seth.
Aunty Jasmine has been working on her novel alot lately. She won't let anyone see it until it is finished. I think she has an artists block at the moment because she gets frustrated while writing.
I'm not a great cook and I have a very short memory span. I kind of caught my tea on fire one day...I was totally calm... seriously I was!
Ok, so maybe I wasn't. But at least that nice firewoman, Shelby, saved my life. Dad was hinting that she would be a great future wife...he really embarresses me sometimes.
My parents seemed to be accepting Arcadia into the family really well. They weren't too sure of her at the beginning though.
While I was watching TV one day Arcadia and Uncle Darren just started making out infront of everyone! I was totally shocked and Dad seemed really embarressed and not sure what to do. Mum spotted Dad looking totally embarressed and to fix this, she walked over and started making out with Dad too!! I was well on my way out of the room by this time. I didn't want to hang around and see what happened next!
I haven't changed much since I was a kid you know. I'm still always running late for school. All the kids laugh at me as I run along side the bus, trying to get it to stop and let me on.
Mum is really happy at her work. She always comes home with such a great big smile on her face! It makes everyone else smile as well! Smiling is contagious you know.
It get's really creepy in the nightime at the Alkaline Household. I always feel a weird presence around. The older people in the household tell me that there is ghosts and they can see them. I told them if that is true, then why couldn't I see the ghosts? They told me that the ghosts choose who they want to see them. Dad said he saw his parents haunting the house the other night. He was happy to see Grandma Violet again because he hadn't seen her since she had died. I really wanted to see Grandma Violet again too so I was a bit jealous.
Then it happened. Grandma Violet jumped out of thin air and scared the living daylights out of me. She winked at me and then started laughing and floated away. I got over the shock and just smiled. I could see her now.
Well I think that is enough from me for now. I'm getting tired... I'll let my creator take over.

Well here is a few gameplay notes and shots that Amos couldn't tell you about!
First off, if you didn't realise, when Amos became a teenager I rolled the family aspiration for him so I choose him to be the heir instead of Esther because she is a romance sim.
One night Jasmine was dreaming about her Grandma Daisy. I've never seen a sim dream about a deceased family member before. And what made it weirder was that Jasmine wasn't born until after Daisy died. She has only seen Daisy when Daisy was haunting.
This was a funny bug. Maura decided to sneak a lift to work in Jasmine's limo. Jasmine didn't see her and decided to sit on.. or in her!
While Remington was haunting the house with Violet the other night, all the females that he floated past still admired and got attracted to him because he is a romance sim. But he is dead!?!?
That's the end my friends. Next time will be a pure romance update about the happenings of Esther the romance sim.
